Comments From Kids

“I thought it was a great game. (3rd grader)

“It was a lot of fun to play. Everyone can play. This would be good for family game nights.” (4th grader)

“It is fun and educational.” (5th grader)

“I liked how the categories were different – not just easier or harder, but in different ways.” (6th grader)

“The thing I really like is you can’t play the game and watch TV. You can barely play the game and eat M&M’s™ at the same time.” (7th grader)

“I liked the challenge of the game – especially the Condition Cards that pitted players against each other – who could make the most words, who could make the longest word, etc.” (8th grader)

Comments From Parents, (when playing the game with their kids)

“It’s an easy to grasp concept, especially after you start playing.”

“My reasons for wanting it are: it’s very social; easy to set up; good to take on a trip; the Condition Cards are a blast; it’s educational; challenging; and promotes family time together.”

“I loved how the Category Rules were laid out. This was a fresh and new idea, and hard. It makes me think of words in totally different ways.”

“I really had fun playing it. I liked the setup and game pieces. The pacing was quick and I felt smart playing it. I also enjoyed hearing the words other players came up with. Any game that gets people - especially kids - interested in looking up words in the dictionary, is great.”

“It was fun and challenging and would be a good family game, where the kids would be stimulating their brains as well as having fun. It’s a game the whole family can play together.”

“I can’t believe how quickly the game warmed people up and turned strangers into friends. That was amazing. This at a party would be great.”

“There’s a lot of reasons I want this game: new experience every time; can’t watch TV and play; long playing time; many players can play; challenges the skill set my child is working hard on each day.”

“It’s fun. It’s a very fresh idea. It’s educational. It’s a new experience every time you play. It’s a challenging ending.”

Comments From 3rd Through 8th Grade Teachers

“I would use this game in class. I liked the speed of the game. It’s not repetitive in playing. It’s not boring and it didn’t drag.”

“There are certain rules in English you have to follow and this really brings you into that. I like that focus very much. This is a game I would bring to class for my kids. And it’s a great game. The kids are going to challenge other kids and say ‘Let’s see that in the dictionary.’ Now what game is gonna do that? It promotes camaraderie and competitiveness, which is very difficult to do in a game. I like that.”

“The part I liked the most was the Zap card. I was apologizing while I was doing it, but it was really rather delightful. There were a lot of surprises and I really liked that.”

“I loved the game. We had a great time, laughing, and it was fun.“

“It’s a good exercise for the brain.”

“I had a ball. With this game, one Zap and you’re back in the game.”

“After you’ve played the game a couple of times, you start thinking about strategy earlier, and that makes it even more interesting, because you do it differently than you did the last time. I like that.”

“The Condition Cards are surprising. You never know if you’re going to win or lose.”

“It’s fun, challenging, interesting, fast and funny. I’ll play this more often than Scrabble™ because there are different ‘layers’ to it – i.e. spoke privilege.”
